Who are we?
Hi everyone! I’m Sarah, and along with my husband Nathan, we founded Millennial Fabrics in 2023. What started as a passion for cross stitch quickly grew into a small business that began right in our kitchen. Nathan and I have been together since 2017 and were married in 2025, a year that also brought a big change for me - I took the leap and made Millennial Fabrics my full-time job after previously working as a special education teacher. Nathan works for James Hardie, which has been a wonderful support as we continue to grow this dream together.
Our Journey: From Kitchen Table to Dream Business
For me, cross stitch has always been more than just a hobby—it’s truly been my passion. I’ve spent countless hours with needle and thread in hand, finding comfort, calm, and joy in the simple rhythm of stitching and watching something beautiful come to life. Like many stitchers, though, I often found that high-quality fabric came with a hefty price tag. That frustration sparked an idea, and with a desire to make this craft more accessible, we decided to take a leap and begin creating our own line of hand-dyed fabrics—made by stitchers, for stitchers.
